Perry, Maryette Mansfield Wallace

Mrs. Maryette Perry, aged 85 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George E. Newton, No. 406 N. Jay St., at 2:30 pm Friday. Death was due to the general wearing out of the system incident to old age. Mrs. Perry was born in Danbury, Conn. She came to this vicinity when an infant and located in the vicinity of Whitestown. She was twice married, her first husband being Lyman Wallace, who she married in Westmoreland in 1835. Her second husband was Backus Perry whom she married in Rome several years ago.. He died about four years ago. Besides the daughter with whom she lived there is one other, Mrs. Benjamin Coonrad of this city, also two sisters, Mrs. Norman Kling and Mrs. R. J. Bellinger of this city. Mrs. Perry was a member of the Wesleyan Church.
