Francis L. Roseman, 57, of Route 49, town highway superintendent, died Tuesday, October 18, 1983, after being stricken while visiting his father in Rome Hospital.

Born in Camden on February 7, 1925, he was the son of Edward and Nettie Garnsey Roseman. He attended Camden High School. He married Wilma Brown in 1946 at the Brown homestead, Blossvale. She died in 1977. On September 16, 1978, he married Cynthia Smith in Fish Creek Landing.

Mr. Roseman was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church, Sylvan Beach post of the American Legion, Sylvan Beach Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the New York State Association of Town Superintendents of Highways. He was a life member of the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving besides his wife and father are six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Gertrude) DeVaul, Canastota, Mrs. John (Darla) Zimmer, Blossvale, Mrs. Daniel (Gloria) Lewis, Ballston Spa, Mrs. David (Ruth) Ward, Cleveland, Mrs. James (Lori) Bray, North Bay, and Kelli Roseman at home, two sons, Edward Roseman, North Bay, and William Roseman, at home, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Gerald (Kathryn) Parker, Fish Creek Landing, and Delores Harrell, Vienna, five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday with burial in Union Cemetery, West Verona.
