Vroman, Jacob

John W. Vroman of this city has received intelligence from Rochester, Minn. of the death in that city of his brother, Jacob Vroman, formerly of Rome. The deceased was born in the town of Lee, in this county, and resided there until a few years ago, when he removed to Minnesota. About three years ago he removed his family to this city, and remained here for some time. A little over a year ago they went to Minnesota again. The deceased leaves his wife, a son, Eugene Vroman of Dakota, and two daughters, Mrs. George Spink of Lee and Miss Belle Vroman of Rochester, Minn., also three brothers, Chauncey and Rudolph Vroman of the latter place, and John W. Vroman of this city.


Vroman, John

John Vroman, of 414 West Court Street, died Wednesday evening after having been confined to his bed for three weeks. He had been in failing health all summer. Mr. Vroman was born in the town of Lee and was 81 years old last Friday. He lived on his father's farm there until he married 57 years ago, when he purchased a farm on the State Road, in the town of Rome, and there he lived until he moved into the city 29 years ago, into the house where he died. Mr. Vroman was a man who had a wide acquaintance and all who knew him respected him, Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. S. B. Hall of Rochester, Minn., who was with her father at the time of his death, and Mrs. T. H. Betts of this city, also one brother, Chauncey Vroman of Rochester, Minn. and six grandchildren.


Vroman, Mary Frances Coonradt

Word has been received by Mrs. T. H. Betts, 314 N. James Street, of the death of her mother, Mrs. John Vroman, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. B. Hall, in Rochester, Minn., last Friday. Mrs. Vroman was born in Coonrod Dec. 7, 1825. Her maiden name was Mary Frances Conradt. Coonrod, the village of her birth, was named for her father's family. She was married on Dec. 16, 1846 to John Vroman, who died here seven years ago. It was then that Mrs. Vroman, who was living in this city, moved to Rochester, Minn., to live with her daughter. The only living member of her immediate family are the two daughters, Mrs. Hall at whose home she died, and Mrs. Betts of this city. A number of grandchildren also survive. She was well known in Rome and her death will cause sincere regret. The remains will be brought here for interment.


Vroman, Rudolph

DIED: Vroman - At the residence of his son-in-law, Christian P. Bork, in Lee, on Sunday, Nov. 19, 1871, Rudolph Vroman, aged 82 yrs 9 mos 14 dys. Deceased was one of the oldest residents of the town of Lee having lived there upwards of fifty years. He reared a large family of children among whom are John Vroman of Rome, Jacob Vroman of Lee and three sons now in Minnesota. His funeral will take place today at the house of C. Bork.


Vroman, Rudolph

Rudolph Vroman, a native and long resident of the town of Lee, died in Rochester, Minn. last Friday, aged 62 years. Thirty-eight years ago he removed to Rochester. He leaves two brothers, John of Rome and Chauncy of Rochester, Minn.

DIED: At Decatur, Ill, Sept. 13, 1876, of typhoid pneumonia, William H. Vroman, aged 50 yrs 11 mos 1 dy. He was formerly a resident of Lee and was a honored and respected citizen. He leaves a wife and three children.
