Vroman Family Journal |
Rudolph Vroman located in the Town of Lee, Oneida County in the early 1800's. He has been located on tax rolls as early as 1814. Rudolph and his three wives are all buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Stokes, New York.
I have been unable to prove the identity of Rudolph's parents and siblings although events lead me to believe he was a son of Johannes & Anna Scheffler Vroman. The only positive sibling of Rudolph is Abraham Vroman. He is mentioned in Rudolph's LAST WILL & TESTAMENT. From census records it appears that Abraham was born about 1798, and he was residing with Rudolph in the Town of Lee on the 1870 census. On the 1850 Lee Census there was listed an "Alanson" Vroman, age 41, idiotic, living with Rudolph. Most likely this is Abraham.
