THE MONTAGUE MOBLEYS

Its the earley 1870's and the Mobleys are moving again, settling near Forestburg in Montague County Texas. The family of William J. and his sons Rosenbloom, ( Lon ).. and L.L. ( Lycurgus ) or Lurg, and familys settled up towards Stonie Point ..Jay Mobley told me about his family moving from Paducah Texas back to forestburg when he was about five years old around 1935. He started school there and remmembers riding in a wagon going to the store at Mallard. However I did not see any trace of Mallard, just the cemetery. The only Mobleys I knew from Montague were Jarid.. and Sam his brother. In fact I knew nothing of Montague or Forestburg untill the year 2002. After my wife died I moved to Gainesville for 3 years doing research. Uncle Sam.. left Oklahoma in the early 1940's and moved to New Mexico, building a house about one block from our family.
