12th July 1887.  She had just finished shooting her nets when two Ostenders,

(one of which was O.52 ) lashed side by side, came up and their crews bombarded

the Lowestoft men with coal, bottles, crockery and potatoes.

19th July 1887.  Condemned.

The first Lowestoft vessel to be fitted with a 3inch A.A.gun Transferred to War Department (RASC) 8/43. Initially she had BP in large white letters on the bow. Before pennant numbers were allotted, the temporary identification system of a 2 letter group taken from the vessel’s name was used.

May 1945 Returned and then sold to Grimsby and registered GY 44; same name.

2nd May 1945 Registry transferred to Grimsby . Certificate not delivered up.

14th November 1887 Damaged drifter TWILIGHT  LT 178 in collision at the entrance to the New Basin, Lowestoft.

16th November 1888 Coming into Lowestoft with a good catch she struck the South Pier, glanced off, and then struck the KATE & POLLY, one of two Smacks aground in the entrance. The QUEEN BEE then came in, struck the BROTHERS and forced her onto the KATE & POLLY who’s trawl beam penetrated her bulwarks and caused considerable damage.

1892. Made third place in the only Drifter race ever held at Lowestoft. Prize money of £12.10s.0d given to crew.(Owner John Breach)

11th November 1893  When leaving Lowestoft she struck the HELIOS  LT 180, who was entering, and damaged her.
