03.15 German submarine U-59
stopped Hull trawler ST. NIDAN.
Warning shots were fired and
the crew were ordered to leave.
04.25 LYNX II appeared,
heading towards the fishing grounds.
U-59 fired three shots at the
bridge.
LYNX II stopped and the crew
left in the boat.
06.55 LYNX II was sunk with
demolition charges; Position 59°50N : 04°20W
08.30 ST NIDAN was sunk with
charges.
