There
arrived at Plymouth yesterday, Captain Dilly and 14 of the crew of the steamer
MELBRIDGE, which was abandoned in a sinking condition on February 14th whilst
on a voyage from Cardiff to the River Plate. When she was abandoned there was
7ft of water in the engine-room, and several of the boats had been smashed. The
crew were taken off by the German steamer CROSTOFELS.
