Two Parsons type doubled reducing geared HP & LP Steam Turbines.

Single screw; 6,800 shp; 15 knots

1950/1 Work “beyond the capabilities of ship's staff”, was given to the Royal Fleet Auxiliary WAVE GOVERNOR, by The New Zealand Navy Yards.

1960 Sold to breakers.

Built 1944  Harland & Wolff Ltd., Govan, Glasgow

Launched 6th April 1944

Three drum type boilers.

Two Parsons type doubled reducing geared HP & LP Steam Turbines.

Single screw; 6,800 shp; 15 knots

1944 WAVE KING ; Royal Fleet Auxiliary

1945  Pacific : When Task Force 57 arrived in the fuelling area on 14th April,

the Admiralty tanker WAVE KING established a record for the number of

ships fuelled in one day, and pumped 5050 tons of oil in nine hours.

1945 July : Pacific; Task Force 112

1945 Present in Tokyo Bay During the Surrender Ceremony, 2nd September. 

1966 Scrapped.

Built 1945  Sir J. Laing & Sons Ltd, Sunderland.

Launched 22nd October 1945, as EMPIRE NASEBY

Three drum type boilers.

Single screw; 6,800 shp; 15 knots

1947  WAVE KNIGHT;Royal Fleet Auxiliary

1950/3 Served in Korean War.
