Eighth GenerationJohn8 TRELOAR (William7, John6 ,Bennet5, Thomas4, John3, Wearne2, John1 Werne TRELOWARTH) was baptised at Almondsbury, Gloucestershire 22 September 1809 privately and publically on 25 September 1809. He was aged 42 in the 1851 census He was buried 4 February 1878 He married before 1835 to Mary Ann NICHOLLS secondly he married Elizabeth CAPLE 22 May 1862 . John appears in the 1841 census of Winscombe as a schoolmaster. In 1851 census he is a vendor of coconut fibre of Banwell. John TRELOAR and Mary Anne NICHOLLS had the following family: i. Mary Anne (Marianne) TRELOAR was born abt 1835 at Bedminster, Somerset, aged 6 in 1841 census of Winscombe. She was aged 16 in 1851 census, living with Uncle Thomas' family in London. She died 17 November 1852 at Banwell aged 17. ii. Elizabeth TRELOAR was born abt 1837 at Winscombe. She was aged 4 in 1841 census and 14 in 1851 census. iii. Eliza TRELOAR was born December quarter 1839 She died in the June quarter of 1840 in the Axbridge Dist. iv. William TRELOAR was born 12 January 1841 at Winscombe. He was aged 9 in 1851 census He died 9 August 1907 aged 66. He married Mary DIX. v. John Thomas TRELOAR was born March quarter 1843 vi. Thomas TRELOAR was born March quarter 1845 at Winscombe. She was aged 6 1851 census
Unmarried, he went to New Zealand on "May Queen" Barque: 736 tons
Captain: Leslie Surgeon Superintendent: vii. Eliza Julia TRELOAR was born March quarter 1847 She was aged 4 1851 census She married R MORGAN and had a son William Edward MORGAN. viii. Anne Victoria TRELOAR was born March quarter 1850 She died 11 January 1851 at Banwell ix. Alfred John Robert TRELOAR was born March quarter 1852 He married Mary BEER
