In 1984, the Olympic Games were held in Los Angeles, USA.
At these games Australia won 24 medals, including 4 Gold.
A new sport at these games was Rhythmic Gymnastics.
Only women compete, demonstrating their skills with different apparatus.
Gymnasts take part in individual and team (known as group) competitions. The routine is choreographed and set to music.
