Beef and Kidney


Stewing beef

Beef kidney

Flour


Cook the stewing beef in a pot till brown.
Soak the kidney in salt water.
Cool the beef.
Cut-up the kidney and put back in the salt water.
Cut-up the beef.
Rinse off the kidney.
Put both beef and kidney into the pot.

Cook till done.

Mix in a little flour and water.

Place tea biscuits.

Place in oven to cook the tea biscuits.

Tea Biscuits

2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2-3 tablespoons fat
2/3 cups milk


Sift the flour, powder, and salt.
Cut in the fat till very fine.
Pour in the milk, stir quickly till mixed.

Turn out onto a lightly floured board.
Knead.
Roll till 3/4" thick, cut with a cutter.

Bake on a greased for floured pan.
Bake at 400-425� for 15-20 minutes.

Great old family recipe. A comfort food that fills the stomach with real, unaltered, wholesome foods.
