David R. Zasada
David R. Zasada, 63, Green Bay, passed away
March 17, 2000, after a battle
with cancer that he fought with great strength, courage and dignity. He was born
Feb. 10, 1937, in Green Bay to the late Felix and Alice Zasada. David served
two years in the U.S. Army and took great pride in his 28-year career with the
Brown County Sheriff’s Department, retiring in 1990 as Commander of the
Investigative Division. Dave’s greatest joy was time spent with family and friends
fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, the former June
Bonnin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Sharon Zasada, Green Bay,
Scott and Kris Zasada, Stevens Point; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and
Ross Bilodeau, Green Bay; one brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and
Rosemarie, Green Bay; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Eleanora and George
Belleau, Crivitz, Carol Toonen, De Pere; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Andrew,
Aaron, Jacob, Luke, Cassandra, Jessica; mother-in-law Bernice Bonnin, Green
Bay. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday (today) at Lyndahl Funeral Home,
Lombardi Avenue at Ridge Road, where funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
with the Rev. John Van Duren officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard
Cemetery.
Dave will be sadly missed and remembered by his family and friends. The

John Sendzik
John Sendzik, 85, Green Bay, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000
at a local nursing
home. He was born September 16, 1914 in Scranton, Penn. to the late Charles
and Valeria (Krajewska) Sendzik. On May 30, 1942 he married Irene Gorka in
Chicago. She preceded him in death November 16, 1975. On February 10,
1978 he married Doreen Van De Hei. John was employed as a mechanic for Cliff
Wall Motor Sales for 28 years until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of
St. Jude Parish. Survivors include his wife, Doreen; four children and their
spouses, Robert and Linda Sendzik, Clifford and Patricia Sendzik, Leonard
Sendzik, Diane and Edward Erickson, all of Green Bay; one grandchild, Lori
Sendzik, West Bend; one step-grandson, Kevin Erickson, Green Bay; two
sisters, Margaret Karpluk, Wausau; Sophie Sicklinger, Marathon, Wis.; his nine
step children and their spouses, Eleanor and Thomas De Groot, Green Bay;
Joanne and James Calmes, De Pere; Bonnie Van De Hei, Lois Van De Hei,
Helen and Ronald Hietpas, all of Green Bay; Melvin and Blanca Van De Hei,
Streamwood, Ill.; Steven and Linda Van De Hei, De Pere; Mary Haupt and her
special friend, Rick Humphreys, Elaine and Fred De Groot, all of Green Bay;
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene; three
brothers, Joseph, Anthony, and Frank Sendzik; and one sister, Helen Castellion.

Peter Kocha Jr.
Peter Kocha Jr., 68, a De Pere resident, passed away peacefully at home
surrounded by family on March 17, 2000, after a six-month courageous battle
with cancer. The son of the late Peter J. and Rose (Hazaert) Kocha was born
March 4, 1932, in Green Bay. Peter married the former Mavis “Mae” Kunschke
on May 21, 1955, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay. He served the
U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean Conflict. Peter was employed at Northwest
Engineering for 36 years, where he also served as president of the union. He
graduated from NWTC in the Wood Techniques program. Peter enjoyed
woodworking and working in the yard. He loved polka music and could whip up
a mean batch of chili. Prior to fulfilling his lifelong dream of living on Scray’s Hill in
the town of Ledgeview, Peter and Mae were long-time members of St. Joseph
Catholic Church in Green Bay, where he sang in the choir, maintained the school
lawn, was involved in C.C.D. and the Athletic Club. They were currently
members of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in De Pere, where Peter served
on the Parish Council, was a Communion distributor, and also worked part-time
as the church building and grounds superintendent. The legacy he left was to turn
the four houses they lived in into beautiful homes. Survivors include his wife, Mae;
five children and their spouses, Robin Kocha of Green Bay, Bart and Carol
Kocha of Burlington, Pam and Mike Kickbusch of Kewaunee, Alan Kocha of
San Francisco, and Lorie and Neal Rohrer of Kenosha; six grandchildren whom
Peter extremely loved spending time with, Adam Kocha and special friend Holly,
Dane Rohrer, Libby Kocha, Annie Kocha, Kit Kocha and Maryclaire Kocha;
Peter’s brothers and sisters and their spouses, Wilbert and Esther Kocha,
Clifford and Lorraine Kocha, Raymond and Bev Kocha, all of Green Bay, Mary
Kocha of Luxemburg, Dolly and Bud Jansen, Bea and Jim De Bauche, all of De
Pere; plus many numerous nieces, nephews and exceptional friends. A brother,
Clarence, preceded him in death. Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral

Mr. John 'Jack' Hallet
Mr. John (Jack) Hallet Sr., 92, Green Bay, went to be with the Lord, early
Tuesday morning, March 14, 2000. He was born on October 13, 1907 in Thiry
Daems to the late: Julius and Marie (Noe) Hallet. On October 3, 1934 Jack
married Mabel Novak at St. Mary’s Church, Luxemburg. She preceded him in
death on February 5, 1992. For many years Jack owned and operated Hallet’s
Bar in Green Bay. His enjoyments included dancing, card playing, hunting, and
AN occasional Manhattan. Survivors include his son, Jack Hallet Jr., Green Bay;
three granddaughters, Cheryl (Ed) Janke, Chris Hallet, all of Green Bay, Barb
(Terry) Monfort, Sobieski; seven great-grandchildren, Brian Miller, Fort Benning,
Ga., Casey Janke, Brandon and Amanda Turnmeyerm, all of Green Bay, Elyisha
Fye, Brad and Rachel Monfort, all of Sobieski; one sister Rose Guillette,
Luxemburg; one sister-in-law, Mildred Dhuey, Luxemburg; and a very special
friends and companion during the past seven years, Vivian Vandenhouten, Green
Bay. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy Hallet; one brother and

Donald A. Blashe
Donald A. Blashe, 71, of 1730 Gross Ave, died Tuesday,
March 14, 2000 at his
home. He was born January 10, 1929 in Angelica to the late Edward and Agnes
(Krueger) Blashe. He graduated from Marion High School in 1947. On May 9,
1951, he married Arlene (Pat) Sousek at St. Mary Catholic Church in Leopolis.
During the Korean War, Mr. Blashe served in Germany in the U.S. Army. After
the war, he had been employed at Consolidated Badger for 18 years and later at
Paper Converting, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish and
was also a member of the Shawano American Legion. Survivors include his wife,
Arlene “Pat” Blashe; four children and their spouses, Robert and Pamela Blashe,
Manitowoc, Catherine and Michael Ault, Howard, Michael and Kathleen Blashe,
Lake Villa, Ill., Connie and William Ricker, Town of Hobart; 11 grandchildren,
Jennifer Blashe and her fiance Jeff Malloy, Sarah and James Blashe, Valerie and
Daniel Ault, Sean, Maureen and Patrick Blashe, Melissa, Matthew and Benjamin
Ricker; one great-granddaughter, Bailey Rose; one brother and sister-in-law,

Ramona B. Etter
Ramona B. Etter, 81, Green Bay, died peacefully Wednesday evening,
March
15, 2000. The daughter of the late Allan and Winifred (Coon) Buckalew was
born February 23, 1919 in Chicago, Ill. and was raised in Troy, Ohio. The
former Ramona Buckalew married Robert G. Etter August 18, 1945 in Dayton,
Ohio. He preceded her in death November 6, 1999. Ramona was a full-time
homemaker, caring for all the daily needs of her growing family of four as well as
being supportive to her husband in business. She was a member of Union
Congregational Church-Green Bay and over the years was very active in church
functions. Ramona was a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood and Beta Sigma Phi. She
also had a zest for playing bridge and was involved in several bridge
organizations. Ramona was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and
grandmother whose true joy was her family. She will be missed by all who knew
her. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Jr. and Toni Etter,
De Pere, John and Ruth Etter, Allouez; two daughters and sons-in-law Cyndi and
Brian Yunger, Cincinatti, Ohio, Winnie and Dale Hutjens, De Pere; eight
grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Ehlers,
Dallas, Texas; one brother-in-law, Franklin Puderbaugh, Trotwood, Ohio. She
was preceded in death by one brother, Allan; one brother-in-law, Clarence

Abbey 'Skenandore' Welzer
Abbey 'Skenandore' Welzer, 97, of W846 EE Road, Oneida, died Tuesday
afternoon, March 7, 2000 in a local nursing home. The daughter of the late Elijah
and Mary (Baird) Skenandore was born May 5, 1902 in West De Pere. Abbey
had worked and lived in Madison and Milwaukee and retired to Oneida in 1987.
She had been a cook at the Abbey Nursing Home in Milwaukee for many years.
She is survived by one sister, Lorretta F. Webster, De Pere, one brother, Louis
Skenandore, Wadsworth, NV, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was
preceded in death by five brothers, Edgar, David, Linus, Ami, and Harry
Skenandore; three sisters, Leah Cornelius, Matilda Cornelius, and Anna

Sylvester J. O'Leary
Sylvester J. O’Leary, 89, formerly of Jamesford Ave., died peacefully with his
family by his side at Wyndemere Estates on Thursday, March 9, 2000. He was
born December 11, 1910 in the town of Glenmore to the late Eugene and
Caroline (Lacenski) O’Leary. Sylvester married the former Mabel Vanden
Avond on June 23, 1937 at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church. She preceded him in
death September 11, 1997 after 60 years of marriage. Sylvester and Mabel
owned and operated a dairy farm until their retirement. He was also employed at
Tape, Inc. for 25 years retiring in 1976. Sylvester was a member of St. Bernards
Parish. He is survived by eight children, Mary Ann Devroy and Clifford Devroy,
Claire and Edward Steinberger, Sylvia and Robert Pott, Bob and Catherine
O’Leary, Thomas and Kathleen O’Leary, Michael and Alice O’Leary, Daniel
O’Leary and his fiancee Mary Joan Matzke, Patrick and Carolyn O’Leary; 26
grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one sister, Clara De Baker, Dykesville;
one brother-in-law, Dennis Bradley, Schofield. He was preceded in death by two
infant children, Sylvester Jr. and Anna Marie; one grandson; two brothers and
sisters-in-law, Francis and Margie O’Leary, Leo and Corrine O’Leary; one sister

Carl Theodore Christensen
Carl Theodore Christensen, United States Naval Reserve (Retired), beloved dad,
entered the presence of the Father on March 8, 2000 in Green Bay, Wis. He was
born on May 28, 1922, in the Town of Glenmore to Laura and Louis
Christensen; he was the youngest of four brothers, Ingwald, Allen, and Melfred,
all of whom are now in the hands of God. A graduate of East De Pere High
School, dad played the tuba in the school band, winning many honors along the
way. His love of music lasted throughout his lifetime as evidenced by his
participation in the Green Bay City Band, the Shrine Band, and the Green Bay
Packer Band during the Lombardi years. Along with his friends, Orville and Ellen
Pagel, The Little German Band delighted senior citizens throughout the area until a
few short years ago. A retired veteran and Petty Officer First Class, he fought in
two theaters of operations during World War II, serving on active duty in the
Mediterranean and the Pacific. He was called to active duty again during the
Korean Conflict. He was also a veteran of the Vietnam eru, participating as a
member of both the Naval Reserve and Wisconsin Army National Guard. He
was also a member of the United States Coast Guard. His commitment to his
country inspired seven of his eleven children to serve as members of the United
States Armed Forces. Carl retired from the State of Wisconsin after thirty years
of faithful service, having served in the capacity of motor vehicle license examiner
and small group counselor for the Department of Motor Vehicles. Carl was also a
32nd degree Mason and a member of the Des Pres Masonic Lodge and the
Scottish Rite. Married in April 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church to Lucille
Katherine Roulette, who preceded him into the arms of the Lord in 1986, he was
the proud father of seven sons and four daughters, all of whom survive him:
Margaret (Peg) Calhoun of Santa Barbara, Calif., Allen, James, Tory, Laura
Peters, Lu Ann Healy, Chris, Mark, Hans, Carl, and Lynn Bildings of the greater
Green Bay area. He was preceded in death by his beautiful granddaughter,
Jennifer, daughter of James. He is survived by 25 grandchildren, Ann, Teri, and
Craig, Allen and Judy’s children; Lucille and Wilbur, James’ and Donna’s
children; Jason Clark, Tory Senior’s son, Tory Jr., Tory and Anita’s child; Steve,
Blaise, Matthew, Amy, and Tom, Laura and Bill Peters’ children; John, Aaron,
Holden, Hillary, and Eric, Lu Ann and Dave Healy’s children; Chris Junior, son of
Chris Christensen, Sylvia and Mark Christensen Jr., Mark and Kimmer’s
children; Marissa and Logan, Hans and Terry’s children; Veda and Lambeau,
Carl Jr. and Brenda’s children; and great-grandson, Tyler Calhoun, grandson of
Peg and Tom Calhoun. He is also survived by his long time friend and

Leo H. Van Deurzen
Leo H. Van Deurzen, 85, died peacefully
Feb. 27, surrounded by his loving
family. He was the son of the late Reinhard and Delia (Scray) Van Deurzen. Leo
was born on Aug. 25, 1914, in De Pere, where he was a proud lifelong resident.
Leo and the former Florence Vander Heiden were joined in marriage on Sept.
16, 1941, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in De Pere. Leo served in the Second
World War with the United States Army Air Corps. He served four years in the
European theatre with the 306th Bombardment Group. Leo was awarded the
Bronze Star for his distinguished service to our country. Leo was a lifelong
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of the Church’s Holy
Name Society. He was a Vice Chief Ranger of the Catholic Order of Foresters
#315 and an active alumnus of the 306th Bombardment Group. He was also a
member of the Operating Engineers Local #139. He is survived by his loving
wife, Florence; their five children, Joseph and Teri (Mickelson) Van Deurzen of
De Pere, John and Patricia (Klarkowski) Van Deurzen of Overland Park,
Kansas, James Van Duerzen and fiancee Rosanne Cheeseman of Mazomanie,
Glenn and Mary (Van Deurzen) Schmidt of Green Bay, and Margaret Van
Deurzen of Green Bay. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Cheryl and
Jerry Van Deurzen, Daniel and Paul Schmidt; and one great great-child, Marina
Maney; one sister, Elizabeth Vanden Elzen; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Hannon of
De Pere. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Teresa, and three
brothers and three sisters, John, Francis and Joseph Van Deurzen and Sister
Odile, Celia Hannon and Josephine Hager. Friends are welcome to call at Cotter

Feb. 29. There will be a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on

Linda Tuttle
Linda Tuttle, age 37, Howard, died unexpectedly on Saturday
February 26,
2000 at her home. She was born on April 22, 1962 in Green Bay to James and
the late Shirley (Ness) Tuttle. Linda was a 1980 graduate of Bay Port High
School and has been employed by Humana for the past several years. Survivors
include one son, Daniel Shankle, at home; her father, James Tuttle, Howard;
three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Randal Tuttle and his special friend, Renee
Beyers, Gwynn, MI, Steve and Barbara Tuttle, Suamico, and Alan and Kim
Tuttle, Luxemburg; two nieces: Jennifer and Kelsey Tuttle; four nephews:
Matthew Trybula and Andrew, Tyler and Parker Tuttle; and a very special friend,
Sherry Thorton. Linda was preceded in death by her fiance, Ray Shankle; her
mother, Shirley Tuttle; and her grandparents, Willie & Rose Ness and Guy &

Jacquelynn Lee Rybicki
Jacquelynn Lee Rybicki Smith, 44 of Boulder, Colo. passed away
March 4,
2000 in Hospice of Boulder County Care Center, Louisville, Colo. She was born
in Green Bay, on June 13, 1955, the daughter of Daniel Rybicki and Eunice
Vander Loop. She attended St. Mary of the Angels, Green Bay, Wis., East High
School, Green Bay and the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Wis. She moved
originally to Summit County, Colo. where she waitressed and managed the Alpin
Glow Bed & Breakfast. She worked at the Peppercorn in Boulder from 1983 to
1995, she then established Compliments, a home accessories department at the
Homestead House from 1996 to the present. She is survived by one son,
Benjamin Anthony Smith III of Boulder, Colo.; one daughter, Carrie Werner of
Oshkosh; her father, Daniel Rybicki of Green Bay, Wis.; four sisters, Judith
Rybicki of Albuquergue, N.M. , JoAnn (Doug) Reimer of Green Bay, Jill (Gary)
Lantta of St. Joseph, Mich., Jennifer (David) Colby of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and
two grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mother and her brother, Danny
Rybicki. A celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, March 7 at 11 a.m.
at Calvary Bible Evangelical Free Church 3245 Kalmia Ave. Boulder, Colo. with
the Rev. Tom Shirk officiating. The family requests that friends gather at the
church at 10 a.m. for the fellowship Services will conclude at the church.

Arthur F. Sager
Arthur F. Sager, 86, Allouez, died peacefully at home with his family by his side
on February 28, 2000. Art was born in Kaukauna, on September 10, 1913 to
the late Albert W. and Anna (Ryser) Sager. Art married the former Rachel Van
Dyke in Little Chute on August 8, 1939. Art worked at Sears for about 38 years,
32 of those years as the store manager. He was the former Vice President of the
Downtown Business association. Art was on the board of directors with the
Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League of
America. He took great pride in training and showing his three horses. Art was an
avid fisherman, and enjoyed many summers at his cottage in Sister Bay fishing
and gardening. He looked forward to hunting, especially with his nephew John
Sager on his farm in Wisconsin Rapids, well into his eighties. Art is survived by
his loving wife Rachel; one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Thomas (Sharon) Sager,
Green Bay; one daughter and son-in-law, Joan (William) Tuley, St. Louis, Mo;
three grandsons Eric (Cindy) Tuley, Tampa, Fl, Keith Sager, Littleton, Co., Scott
Sager, Evergreen, Co; two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Erickson, Bradenton, Fl., Mrs.
Clarence Koch, Kakauna, Wis; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and
lifelong friends and associates with Sears, also a special friend Tom Grimm. Art
was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Friends may call from
10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday march 2, 2000, at Allouez Chapel
Mausoleum, 2121 Riverside Dr. A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 a.m.,
with rev. Donald Baeten, from St. Matthew’s Catholic Church officiating.

Luella E. Ness
Luella E. Ness, 85, Green Bay, died Friday,
Feb. 25, 2000. She was born
March 8, 1914, in Green Bay to the late Eli and Cielia (De Bouch) Lampeur. She
married Herman Sept. 9, 1931. She was employed Clabots Shoes store for
many years and was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church and the Eastern
Star. She is survived by two sons, Leeland Ness, Green Bay and Rodney Ness,
St. Petersberg, Fla.; one sister, Jane Wagner, Green Bay; many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. Private funeral was held, Charles O’Brien, director.
Clayton E. 'Brad' Menne
Clayton E. 'Brad' Menne, 72, Green Bay, passed away Sunday,
March 5, 2000
after a long illness. He was born January 31, 1928 to the late Edward and Hattie
(Duquaine) Menne in Green Bay. Bud served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He
married the former Beverly Hanstedt. Bud worked at Atlas Cold Storage and
later the Larson Company until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Beverly;
three children Linda (Peter) Hasselblad, Brian Menne, Brenda (Al) Furth; one
grandson, Alex Menne, all of Green Bay; one sister, Delores DeGreef, Green
Bay; nieces, nephews, special friends Wendell and Millie Anderson, Green Bay.
Preceded in death by parents and one sister, Alice Gafaney. Friends may call at
Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason from 3-7:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral
service 7:30 at the funeral home with Rev. Im Tung officiating. Burial in
Woodlawn Cemetery.

Robert A. Kuxmann
Robert A. Kuxmann, 93, Green Bay, died Wednesday,
February 23, 2000 at his
home. He was born August 31, 1906 in Chase, Wis. to the late Fred and
Theresa (Giese) Kuxmann. On July 29, 1931, he married Ruby Wedgwood. Bob
drove truck for Leicht Transfer and Storage for over 35 years, retiring in 1970.
He belonged to the Teamsters Union Local 75 and Redeemer Lutheran Church.
He was a very hard worker. He loved to work and could do almost anything that
needed to be done. He loved to be out in the woods, especially making maple
syrup in the spring. One of his favorite things was to be with his grandchildren and
also to play cards with his fellow retirees at Union Hall. He was well loved and
will be missed by all of his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Ruby;
four children, Kenneth Kuxmann and Monica Mutz of Suamico, Carole and Lew
Imig of Ashwaubenon, Bob and Jean Kuxmann of Suamico, Diane and Dennis
O’Connor of Ashwaubenon; seven grandchildren and spouses, LuEllen and Mike
Oskey, David and Cindy Imig, Laurie and Kevin Taicher, Jody and Dale Heuer,
Steven and Julie Kuxmann, Scott and Anita Kuxmann, Ryan O’Connor and
fiance Kristin Callies; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Kutchek,
Leona Skovera both of Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Gloria Wedgwood of
Oconto; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one
son, Dean Kuxmann; four brothers, Fred, Hans, Albert, Otto and three sisters,
Margaret Wolff, Florence Hoppe, Elsie Kaster. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m.
Thursday at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Ave. at Ridge Rd., and after 10
a.m. Friday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, where the funeral service will be held
at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Poppe officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Little
Suamico.

Edward Kanugh
Edward Kanugh, 88, Pulaski died unexpectedly Friday afternoon,
Feb. 25,
2000. He was born Nov. 23, 1911, in Pulaski to the late Peter and Elizabeth
Kanugh. On June 26, 1935, he married the former Evelyn Klimaszewski at
Assumption B.V.M. Church, Pulaski. The couple had celebrated 55 years of
marriage. They farmed in the Pulaski area until their retirement in 1974. Evelyn
preceded him in death on Jan. 17, 1991. Ed enjoyed many hobbies, especially
fishing, gardening and hunting. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law,
Robert and Grace Kanugh, Suamico; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia
and Robert Budz, Carol and David LaCount, all of Green Bay; five
grandchildren, Sheila LaCount, Renee (Jed) Slezewski, and Michelle Krajewski,
Timothy Budz and his fiancée Tracy Koch, Melissa (Scott) Cooper; three
great-grandchildren, Braydon Budz, Lauren Krajewski and Mason Slezewski;
three sisters-in-law, Irene Ertman, Betty Klimaszewski and Celia Kanugh. He
was preceded in death by his brothers, Peter, John, Adam, Joe and Frank; his
sisters, Celia Rezek, Elizabeth Rady, and Marie Bohne; one granddaughter.

Jack V. Hebert
Jack V. Hebert, 83, a retired electrician
for American Motors, where he worked
for 28 years, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at his residence in Green Bay.
He is
survived by his wife, Versa; three sons, William (Cindy) Hebert of Pascougula,
Miss., Michael Hebert of Kenosha, Douglas (Linda) Hebert of Pascougula,
Miss.; three stepsons, Garron (Joyce) Gibson of De Pere, Tom (Patti) Gibson of
Green Bay, Bruce (Ruth) Gibson of Novi, Mich.; one stepdaughter, Sharron
(Dennis) Gilbertson of Oregon, Wis.; three grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren,
one step-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; two
brothers, William and Norm Hebert; and two sisters, Marge Abear and Jean
Loch. He was born May 2, 1916, in Mission Lake, Minn., the son of Edward
and Mame (Dowling) Hebert. He served in the Army during World War II,
having attained the rank of Staff Sgt. Enlisted on June 19, 1942, at Kalamazoo,
Mich. Discharged on Feb. 27, 1946 at Fort Custer, Mich. He retired to White
Potato Lake, where he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Visitation will
be at Morasky-Messar Funeral Home, 513-17 First St., Wausaukee on Tuesday
from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral
home, with the Rev. Joseph Dorner officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home
Cemetery in Athelstane.
A memorial fund has been established for the Unity Hospice.
