 1753, May 13, my mother (Van Deusen) Catelina Oothout, died on Saturday morning at half past 4 o'clock and was buried on Sunday, in her 55th year.
 
 
 1785. July 27, I John Oothout, was married with Miss Magdalena Van de Water, only daughter of William Van de Water, on Wednesday by the Rev. Dr. John H. Livingston, in the presence of Miss Margaret Ten Broeck, Miss Elizabeth Roberts, Gerard Bancker and Leonard McKenn Cutting, Esqs.
 
 
 1787,December 22, our daughter Elizabeth was born on Sunday at 10 o'clock p.m., and on Sunday, the 6th of January, 1788, baptised by Professor Livingston in the old Dutch Church. Mr. Wm. Van de Water and his wife Elizabeth sponcers. It being very severe cold day the baptism for that reason was not performed until the congregation had been dismissed.
 
 
 1789,January 12,our son John was born on Monday at 11 o'clock A. M.,and on Wednesday, the 4th of February, following was baptised in the house by Professor Livingston. Brother Henry Quackenboss, of Albany, and Sister Elizabeth Ten Broeck sponsors.
 
 
 1790, November 17, our daughter Catalina was born Wednesday at half-past 7 o'clock A. M. ; was christened by the Rev. Professor J. H. Livingston at 11 o'clock on Monday 29th,and died same day at half-past 12 o'clock. Her Complaint was stoppage in the head and soreness in the throat occasioned by a severe cold taken the preceding Monday, 22d Inst.
 1791, October 23, at 5 o'clock in the morning our son William was born and on Friday, the 25th of November following, he was baptised in the house by the Rev.Geradus Keuppers, our then Dutch minister.
 
 
 1793, October 2d, on Wednesday morning 10 o'clock died our son William, aged 1 year, 11 months and nine days, and was buried with his sister Catalina at the left hand of it vault north end of the new Dutch.
 
 
 1794. February 2, Friday, our Catalina was born on Sunday evening at 8 o'clock, and christened in the house by the Rev. Dr. William Linn 5th of March following.
 1801, January 18,departed this life on Sunday at 3 o'clock P. M. Elizabeth (Oothout) Ten Broeck,aged 76 years, 3 months and 27 days, and was interred in our family vault west side of the new Dutch church.
 1799, September 12, died (Oothout) Henry Van Harlingen of the yellow fever, and is interred in the Dutch Church burial ground below Stuyvesant's farm, aged 35 years.
 1804, September 20,Thursday 6 o'clock p.m. at his country seat at Greenwich, of it bilious remittent fever after eight days illness. John Oothout, aged 64 years, 9 months and 1 day, Interred in our family vault in Middle Dutch Church yard.

 NOTE. On excavating the trenches in November, 1882, for time foundation of the addition to the public market which was formerly the Middle Dutch Church on Beaver street, Albany., several tombstones were unearthed and the remains were removed from graves beneath . Among them was that over the grave of Margaret Oothout, daughter of John Oothout above, and wife of Col. Hendrick (Henry) Quackenbush Quackenboss.) The stone was in excellent preservation and time following inseription, remarkably well cut, upon it was Holland Dutch.

 Here lies the body of Margareta Qothout., consort of Hendrick Quackenboss ; born at New York Wednesday, the 5th day of January, in the year 1736-7 ; rested in heaven Saturday, May 19, 1770, aged 33 years, 4 months and 14 days.
 
 
 A quantity of human bones, yellow and discolored by age, was also found near the head-stone, but all traces of the coffin had long since vanished. A small iron field piece, in a fair state of preservation, was also discovered in one of the trenches.

 1765, December 1, of a Sunday evening, at six o'clock is born our Walter's second daughter. Her sponsors were his father and his mother Johannis Quackenbos and Margrietje, and was baptised Wednesday by name of Margrietje.
 
 
 1767, September 17, is born our Walter's third daughter on Friday between two and three o'clock in the morning. Her sponsors were John Quackenbos and Cornelia Quackenbos, his sister and his cousin from Albany. (Name not given.)
 
 
 NOTE-- Johannis Quackenbos died in New York December 22, 1774. Margietje Bogaert, his widow, died in Albany October 3, 1785, at 3P.M.
