FATAL ACCIDENT— There axe many distressing accidents
caused by the use of fire arms. We have a painful one to record now
in the death of Wm.W. Vail, of this village, aged. 31 years, which occurred
on Saturday last. Th. deceased and his brother had some business
to transact in the town of Big Flats and took their guns along; when within
half a mile of the corners, while going over a fence, the cock of the gun
caught in the fence, causing the discharge of the gun, the contents of
which struck him in the right temple, and killed him almost instantly.
He has left two little boys to feel the loss of a. kind parent.
