Obituary of James Kelon Pingelton (1893-1950)

Pingelton, (J.K.) James Kelon born Pensacola, Fla 10/26/1893

As a young boy he moved to Texas, where he graduated from Highland High School in Wilbarger County, Tx. May 1911.

He married Winnie Boage living in Panhandle, Tx. 1/19/1937. Died 2/22/1950 Age 56.

Surviving children at time of Death.
Patricia Ann 10, Shirley Maye 8, James K. 7, Sammie - 2. And a son Richard Earl - from a former marriage living in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

He moved to DeQueen, Ark. in 1943. Where he was a building contractor until ill health forced his retirement. He returned to Panhandle about a month ago, and became critically ill two weeks ago. Jan 1950.

While in DeQueen he took part in many outdoor sports and was a member of the DeQueen Methodist Church.

Other survivors include 3 Brothers Clyde A. of Panhandle; Leon D. and Floyd A. of Marfa, Tx.
one sister Mrs. M. M. Pickett (Wilma) of Panhandle
3 nieces Mrs. Guy Rideout (Evelyn) of Laredo, Tx. Mab Pingelton and 1 great niece Karon L. Pickett, both of Panhandle.
4 nephews Cyril (Bud) and C. D. (Fat) Pingelton, Duane (Sam) Teague Pickett of Panhandle, Leon Pingelton of Buhl, Minn.
and 5 grand children (Richard's children).
