Obituary of Leon Dean Pingelton (1902-1967)

LEON PINGELTON

Leon Dean Pingelton died Saturday, Jan. 28, in his home, 723 Brannen St. He was born Dec. 4, 1902, in Grand Saline, Tex.

Mr. Pingelton came to Arizona 16 years ago from Marfa, Tex. He moved to Prescott five years ago from Wickenburg. He was a retired peace officer, having served as a Federal guard and as a border patrol officer during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Ada Pearl, of Prescott; a son, Leon Jr., and a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Allen, both of El Paso, Tex.; a brother, Clyde, and a sister, Mrs. Wilma Pickett, both of Panhandle, Tex.; and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Ruffner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Ruffner's from 9 a.m. Tuesday through service time.
