One of my favorite cousins, Joseph Emond Badger, died in what many phrase: "peacefully in his sleep" the other night -- he did not -- racked with visions of the indescribable, he fell asleep, only to be awakened by apparent visions of terror, settled down, and ceased breathing several minutes later. I shall keep his work alive as long as I may, per his request
2010 Oct 11:
Found & added proofs that Abner Morrill who was buried on the Morse farm near Water Endric was, indeed, the brother of Betsey (Morrill) Morse; that he & his wives were left behind when Mrs Morse & her family were removed to the Danville Green Cemetery in 1907 because no one remembered that they were related. Their final resting place is not at this date recognized by the town as a "burial place" because the stones are not in situ; but, are stored in a neighbor's shed.

Named Boyd's Plantation: 1805

2009 Jan 25:
Have now added Irasburg, Vt area Census records - thank you, Paul, for the scans.
I hope to transcribe the Irasburg town vital records before spring; will not be easy, they are not indexed and are in serious need of restoration; priez pour nous.
This dataBase has once again become overly large for older computers and slow connections - I hope to separate the collateral lines into a separate dataBase when time allows - when it happens, I will post a notice here.
2009 Jan 25:
All cemetery transcriptions & burial records (as are currently posted online) of the Badger & Morrill families in Craftsbury, Derby, & Irasburg have been added.
As a research aide, I have tried to connect family members by name, age, residence, and burial plot to the best of my ability after 40+ years experience as a researcher and data evaluator; but, many connections are, as noted in the database, "speculative" and possibly in error - they are tagged "Challenged". If anyone has documentation that will correct or prove my "theories", PLEASE let me know so I may correct the database before any errors are promulgated.
2009 Jan 25:
All references to the Badger & Morrill families in Child's Gazetteers for Caledonia-Essex & Lamoille-Orleans counties have now been added to the database.
2008 Oct:
This database now contains all Badger data from the VtVitalRecord Index Cards on file at the State Archives, Middlesex, Vt thru 1870 and all Badger VVRdr's thru 1907.
As such, there are many "unconnected" individuals. Where I have found relationships that SEEM appropriate, but are without substantiation, I have tagged the relationship to parents as "Challenged" with a note listing why I suspected the relationship. If you have found any proofs and/or disproofs, please let me know.
2008 Feb:
This dataBase was created by separating the Badger, and related, Brown-Clifford-Danforth-Haviland-Merrill-Morrill-Morse-Pettenginll-Wells families from the Newell2 dataBase which was getting too large for those of you (like me) that are using older computers and/or slower dial-up Internet Service Providers.
2007:
All original vital records, containing the name "Badger", in the vaults of the towns of Barnet, Danville, Lyndon, Peacham, St Johnsbury, and Waterford have been transcribed and/or photocopied and added to the database.
All cemeteries in the towns of Barnet, Danville, Peacham, and Waterford, and St Johnsbury have been walked stone-by-stone and all inscriptions bearing the name "Badger" have been copied and added to the database.
