Enoch Vanderpool enlisted 10 Oct. 1861 at Louisa KY and joined Co. I , 14th KY Vol. Inf. USA for 3 years. Private, Capt. Power’s Company.
1865 Jan 31: Muster Out Roll at Louisa KY, age 19 last settled account 10 Oct 1863, due $100
1887 Nov 15: Adj. Genl's s Office requests info on records of Enoch Vanderpool, enlisted 10 Nov 1861 as Private in Co. I , 14th KY Vols. and discharged at Louisa, KY on 30 Jan 1865. While in service he was disabled by measles affecting his lungs at Louisa KY on 14 Dec 1861 and by mumps affecting his testicles at Paintsville KY in 1862.
1887 Dec 10: Report on Enoch Vanderpool verifies enlistment and discharge info.
Muster Rolls to 28 Feb. 1862 report him present.

1912 Jun 27: Enoch Vanderpool, age 70, Lakeville, Magoffin Co. KY states his enrollment and discharge information, personal description at enlistment was 5 feet 8 inches, dark complexion, dark eyes, light hair, farmer, b 26 Jun 1842, Morgan Co. KY. Has lived in Magoffin Co. KY since leaving service. Witnesses Press Adams and Morton Salyer.
1915 Apr 5: Enoch Vanderpool, Lakeville, KY answered questionnaire:
He was born 26 June 1842 Floyd Co. KY, served in Co. I. 14th KY Regt., his post office at time of enlistment was Whitakersville, Floyd Co. KY (Note - this was near present day Royalton in Magoffin Co. KY).
His wife was Emily Shoemaker and they were married 24 July, 1872 at Beatyville, KY by Charley Blunt. Record is in family Bible at his home.
Their children: Nancy A. Vanderpool b. 5 Nov 1873, Phoeba E. Vanderpool b. 1 Mar 1873, Margaret C. Vanderpool b. 22 Nov 1876, Jacob B. Vanderpool b. 24 Jun 1878, Louiza G. Vanderpool b. 28 Aug 1880 deceased 25 Mar 1904, Mary J. Vanderpool b. 11 Sep 1885 and Daniel J. Vanderpool b. 13 Feb 1886.
1927 Apr 20: Dr. W. C. Connelley, age 47, Salyersville, KY reports he "Examined Enoch Vanderpool and find he is totally disabled for manual labor from age and that he is in bad health from. branched? catarrh and many diseases due to old age and his mature age renders him totally helpless."
1928 May 8: Bureau of Vital Statistics gives info that Enoch Vanderpool, age 85, male, white, died of old age infirmities, was buried Lakeville, Magoffin Co. KY on home cemetery, with undertaker Franklin Power of Lakeville, KY. Was buried 8 May, 1928.
1936 Jul 28: Affidavit supporting burial claim for Enoch Vanderpool, d. 6 May, 1928 at Lakeville and buried 8 May 1928, was widowed, had no property or anything of value at time of his death. Informant was J. B. Vanderpool, Lakeville, KY.
