Cradock and Portsmouth terminals have same leaving times.

on time, but, being single track and

Transfers (free) good for several hours to North,
South, East and West lines. (All cars and some busses.)

attractive. The "Curb Market" has the "Dunkards'"
near-by farmers, with "hog's-head-cheese,"
scrapple,
"ponhaus," fresh eggs, hominy, country
sausage, herbs,
corn-meal, dressed chickens, giblets, game, etc.
Milk Deliveries
Daily and Sundays.
Mail Deliveries
About 9:15 A.M. and 2:15 P.M. daily. (No Sunday mails)
Fire Department
Corner Afton Parkway and Prospect Parkway. Has
telephone.
Firemen sleep there. Always available. Very complete
and
efficient "combination" chemical and "pumper,"
ladders,
hose, fire-extinguishers, ropes, axes, other necessary
equipment. Motor driven
Merchandize Deliveries
Most Cradock stores, all large Portsmouth stores
deliver
promptly. All Norfolk stores (large ones) have periodic
"Cradock
delivery.
Wednesday during June, July and August
Most of the stores in "The Crescent" close at 1
P.M.
