The Last Will and Testament of William Osborn

(1768-ca. 1838)


In the name of God Amen, I William Osborn of the town of Glenville in the County of Schenectady and State of New York being of sound mind and health but knowing the uncertainty of life after recommuting my immortal soul to God.
First
I give to my son Francis Osborn and to his heirs and assigns favors all my real and personal estate of every name and nature what sown subject to the payment of my funeral charges and just debts.
Second
In case my son Francis should die before me I then and in such case give and devise to the legal heirs of the said Francis Osborn my son they to take all my estate of every name and nature to them their heirs and assigns favor. (sic)

I hereby appoint my son Francis Osborn my Executor of this my last will and testament made on the eighteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and thirty one. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above mentioned.
