Maude Van Tassel died August 31, 1954, in Detroit, MI. She is buried at Roseland Park Cemetery beside her first two husbands, Morton Sayles & Harry Lee.

1Maud Doris Sayles, daughter of William (Willie) Sayles and Cora Weidmeyer. Cora died in child birth the next year, and Willie left the state leaving his daughter "Little Maud" behind with his grandmother. Maude raised her granddaughter "Little Maud" as her daughter. According to an aunt, they changed "Little Mauds" last name to Lee. Little Maud married 1) Mr. Hanaford 2) Mr. Sheffer.
2Lucy Landin, Maud's mother, married 1st Mahlon Van Tassel, 2nd Charlie Cadwell.
3Bert and Willie Van Tassel were Maud's brothers.
4Herman and William Yuerhs were brothers to Charles Yuerhs.
