The society's collection is housed in the 1807 Charles Dana House,
which remained in the Dana family until its sale to the society in 1944.
There are 19th-century furnishings, silver and glass, dolls, costumes,
early photographs, books and papers of the Dana family, tools, a 12,000-volume
library of local history, genealogical reference materials, and reference
books on administration and conservation. Lectures and workshops are held
in a 100-seat auditorium. Contact Person: Corwin Sharp, Executive Director.
Hours and Admission: May to Oct, Mon – Sat, 10am – 5pm; Sun and holidays,
12 – 4pm. Admission $1.00. 1st floor and auditorium accessible to the disabled.
