probably taken in the 1860s, he was at No. 74 during the 1870s.
The sign to the left of the door says 'Cartes de Visites, 5s dozen and 3s half dozen'

marked on the back 'Hotel du Nord', possibly a honeymoon photo


Charles' father and mother, James and Hannah Farlie (early to mid 1860s) taken by S. Long also of Wellington Street, Woolwich.
Hannah's hairstyle is that of the early 1860s with her ears covered, she is holding a book - a standard convention to say that she was educated and could read, not all women at this time could.


Selina Louisa Farlie with her eldest daughter Alice Selina (born 1863) and third child Rosina (sadly her second child Florence died aged two) This dates this photo to the late 1860s. Taken by G.B.Davies of 22 Wellington Street, Woolwich.

Selina Lousia Farlie taken by her husband in the early 1870s and may be a later reprint made to hand round the family after her death.


A memorial card for Selina who died October 29th 1873 aged 32.
