General Notes (Wife)
I can find no evidence of her surname by any variant spelling, English, atleast, in the area, and no Yaro in the country at that time. The name reminds me of "Reno" and "Garro", two French Canadian names, or versions thereof, recent ancestors of my brother in law. "Reno" was the anglicicized form of "Renaud", also known as renault, renoe, Renau, Renno, etc. A woman who married into the line was GArro, or Garrand, or Garron, and several other phonetic variations. Conceivably she was French Canadian and noone could spell her name.
Names spelled anything like that around Massachusetts were Yarrah, Yaro (in teh 18th century), Yarrer, Yarrow, Yans. Whatever it was, it was rare. In the Carolinas, Yarbro and Yarbrough came up.
In the 1850 census she was living in Brimfield with people named Coy, and it says she was 84, born about 1766 in Massachusetts. Everyone on that page was born in Massachusetts. On teh 1860 census, it has her living with Gmms Olds, 69, b MA, and someone else, and age 92, b about 1777. She does not appear in the 1870 census.
The 1840 census suggests that her second husband, who lived and died in Brimfield, may ahve been considerably older than she was.
She could not spell her first name. On her second marraige record, it's Sydil!
I found no record of her first marriage, and no record of her death. Atleast not at ancestry.com.
