Supposedly "the Judge", a distinguished career, a favorite of Queen Elizabeth I. He owned lands in the Hartest area. This according to Neil Thompson, author of 1999 NEHGR article on Edmund Frost's marriage. I have not seen this article, and do not know how good the evidence of that is.

General Notes (Husband)
Someone's notes at Rootsweb Worldconnect cite Higgins' notes for the idea that this family came from Capisie, Main, and Dorcas was actually born there rather than in Falmouth where her family lived when Ebenezer Davenport married her.
This someone cited in addtion to Higgins' notes a page on Ebenezer Davenport's son at NEHGS XV p 183, 1861.
Search of NEHGS index found "The Andrews Family of Marblehead and Salem" (July 1950), Moriarty, excerpt below.
There were many Andrews families in Essex County, Massachusetts. Some of them were formerly Andrus, Andros, Androse, Androuse, Andross.
At the time of the Indian War of 1675 and thereafter, when the French War commenced in 1689, many of the inhabitants of the exposed frontier towns along the Maine coast took refuge in the towns along the Eastern Massachusetts coast, esp in Boston, Salem, and Marblehead. After the Peace of Utrecht in 1715 some of these refugee famlies returned to their old homes, but many others never went back. These Maine refugees, as was natural, kept up a close association with each other in their new homes and were inclined to intermarry, to some degree.
The early history of the Andrews family of Falmouth is somewhat obscure, as the Maine records dealing with this section of the Maine coast are meagre. Mr. Libby, as was to be expected, has gleaned most of what is to be found about them and recorded it in his splendid "Genealogiccal Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire". The family was founded by Samuel Andrews, a London citizen, who came in the Increase 14 Apr 1635, aged 37 years, with his wife Jane, aged 30, and his cihldren Jane, aged 3, and Elizabeth, aged 2, and a servant Elen Lougie, aged 20. He settled in Biddeford, where he was taxed 7 Sep 1636. He built a house htere and died long prior to 26:4:1654 (York Deeds, Bk. I, fos. 42, 43). The family evidently belonged to the upper class of the Maine settlers. Samuel and Jane had issue: James, born in 1625; Jane, born in 1643, married Francis Neale; elizabeth, born in 1633, married first Richard Pike, secondly Mr. Thomas Purchase, and thirdly John Blaney, Srl; and Phiulippa married George Felt. After Samuel's death his widow, Jane, married Arthur Mackworth getn of Falmouth, the member of a gentle Shroshire family and a right hand man o f Sir Ferdinando Gorges in Maine. He died prior to 28 March 1658, leaving a noncupative will. By Jane he had three children. The widow Jane Mackworth was a refugee in Boston, where she made her will on 20 May 1676 and died soon after.
James Andrews, teh son of Samuel and Jane, born about 1625, styled "yeoman" and "Mariner", was a leading citzen of Falmouth, Foreside, whither he had gone when his mother married Mackworth. His farm was on the site of the Caco Bay fort, 1700-1716, at Mussel Cove. He went to Boston in 1675, returned after the war, and again went back to Boston in 1689, where he remained (York Deeds, Bk 16, fo. 40). He married first Dorcas, daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Cleeve Mitton, both of whom belonged to families prominent in the early Maine settlemetn; and secondly in Boston (intention 6 Aug 1696) Margaret Halsey, a widow, daughter of James Phipps of Kennebec and sister of the famous Sir William Phipps. She too was a Maine refugee in Boston. His will, dated 4 Jan 1698/9, was proved at Boston. He died 5 May 1704, aged "79 years". By his first wife he had issue James, Samuel, Eilsha, Josiah, whose administration was taken out in Boston in 1691, Rbecca married Jonathan Adams of Boston, Dorcas, born in 1663, married EBezer DAvenport of Falmouth and Dorchester, and Jane, who married first, in 1684, Andrew Alger of Scarborough and later of Boston, and secondly, on 19 Feb 1692, Robert Davis of Boston.
