He died between 10 Nov 1596, when he made his will, and 10 Mar 1596/77, when John Fermin, his successor as rector of Foxearth, co Essex, was presented by the patron of that living, Anne Butts, widow.

REv Thomas Morse was presented to the vicarage of Boxted, co Essex, of which the Bishop of London was a patron, in 1573, and held this living until 1578, when he resigned, his successor , Rev. Philip Silgate, being presented on 18 Mar 1578/9. Apparently he continued to lvie at Boxted until 1583, for the baptisms of his five cihldren by his first wife down to and including Daniel who was bapt 2 May 1583, were recorded tehre. On 14 July 1583 he was inducted as rector of Hinderclay, in northern Suffolk. From about 1594 until his death he was rector of Foxearth, co Essex. His son Nathaniel was baptized there, and his next and yougest child.

General Notes for Child James MORSE

His burial entered in teh parish registers as that of James Morse, a servant in Shribland Hall, buried in the Ile belonging thereunto. His will prved at Ipswich, Sufoflk, by his brother Jsoeph, to whom he left all his lands and tenements, numerous legacies including 20 punds to his brother Nathaniel, etc. The testator was a man of considerable means, adn seems to have held a high position in the "Hall". He made bequests to "every servant in this house", and directed his executor to give to everyone of my fellowes servts a payer of glvoes and Ribound.

General Notes (Wife)

In the original version I had was Nabby Bond, a male, no spouse, born 11 May 1798 or something of the sort. This is from "The descendants of John Bond" Her existence is supported by the fact that her mother was living with two people improbably named "Olds" in the 1860 census.
