Sources aren't certain if he was son of Elias
or Elias' brother Cornelius, and b Six Mile
Run, Monmouth Co. Many people think former,
many think latter. That is why different
genealogies have this person and descendants
     n different locations.
Cousin has him pretty well pinned down as son
     of Elias.

          (Montgomery doesn't identify the
          daughters of George Adam Weidner)
          identify Elizabeth as the daughter
and sister of emigrants George Adam
          Weidner and sons, from Germany.
          Fifth cousin states Weidners came
from Wuremburg, on ship Hope in 1733,
father and son (there were several
          sons) were tile makers.
          George Adam Weidner married Dorothea
Greiner, also born in Germany, but
          her father,

          John Theodore Greiner,
came over with his other children as
          well; they were Cathleen, Barbara,
Mary and John according to his will.
Greiners came on ship Dragon in 1732.
          Cousin believes Palatines from
Germany. According to Oley Valley Heritage, Johann
Theodorik Greiner came with Johann Jcob Rodt, arrived
in Amity township - in 1717- from Bonfeld, a village in the
Palatinate. They bought a large parcel of land
          together, and then split it.
Elizbeth Weidner b 1750.
Dorothea Greiner b 1712, Pfalz,
Germany (IGI), m abt 1739 George
Adam Weidner, son of Hans Adam Weidner from Germany who also
had Lazarus (Mennonite preacher) and Tychicus, who settled near
 Lobachsville and
whose descendants consistently show evidence of mood and
anxiety disorders, Tychicus married a Hill, and Platina m
John Schneider, Catherine m Henry Thomas, Michael and David.
Hans Adam and wife belonged to the Ephrata Cloister. They have
been persistently associated with the New Born Cult, atleast
partly because Hans Adam got in trouble at the cloister for
circumcizing himself together with another man. They came to
Pennsylvania between 1721, when last son who was naturalized
wsa born, and 1727 when ships' lists begin - according to one
author. Above locates their ship in 1734. Incident with
circumcision was 1735. New Born principally active in 1720's
I think, but still around in 1730's. Hans Adam bought
his land in Oley in 1734, or rather, that is when he laid claim
to it; it seems the Oley land office was nonfunctional to 1733
and many people squatted, and he put the date 1734 on a roof tile
of his cabin.
