      John b 1761 of _____  a weaver and a farmer.  Montgomery
           seems to mention him in two places as the son of 
           Jacob and as the son of "Captain Dehart" of Valley
           Forge, who joined the Continental Army at 14 and 
           provided some important intelligence information to
           Washington.  That was more likely his father.  
          b 1764 Amity TWP  d Exeter, Berks, 1868, aged 104, or
           1869 aged 101.  Mary/Polly Harner b 1774 d 1859.
           John was in Amity TWP in 1764, d age 104 in Exeter.
           Latter years of life on farm in Alsace.  Amos 
           inherited this farm. 
           b 11/22/1776 Amity d 8/1/1874 Exeter, buried Spies
           Cem.  Only 97.  m Maria Horner dau of Frederich
           and Mary 9/23/1795 St Paul's Union Ch, Amityville.
           Baptized as an adult by Rev John Boos betw 1782 
           and 1809.  Listed birth as ll/22/1776.  
           He died in Exeter and his daughter Lydia BEchtel 
           took care of him.  Spies church reacords and cemetery
           listed his age 104-9-4.  Obituary in Reading lists 
           same and gives cause of death as old age.  8/11/1874.
           That would make year of birth 1772.  
           His will Vol 12 pg 769.

         This is probably wrong.  One Jacob.  b 1782. married
           Susannah Knabb, dau of Nicolas and Susan Knabb. The
           people Montgomery thought ancestral to the clan who
           actually lived a century later.  Jacob Briner, William
           and Rachel were their children.
         My cousin has Jacob b abt 1810, m 1/21/1832, Molly 
           Masser, at Reading, First Reformed Church.
         Gilbert b abt 1809 d 1881 age 72 or Dec 5 1880 (This date
             confirmed Reading death records index),
             buried Muhlenberg TWP, Alsace Cem 
             proprietor of a paper mill at Stony Creek in Alsace
                 TWP.
             and a millwright during latter pt of his life.
             His last work was done at Dunkle's mill. 
             Lutheran  m 11/9/1834 Lydia Ann Borgert 
             b 5/22/1814 d 1898 age 85. d Feb 9 1899, Reading
             death records.
             She would have been 68 when Gilbert died.
