Identified in a sister's obit. She is not Georgette, who is also mentioned in the obit. She could conceivably be Gabriella, who is not mentioned in any of the siblings' obits, was in the 1920 census, unlike Odette, and was born in about 1918, like Odette.

She was married three times; apparently the first two husbands died. She left her last husband, Thomas W. McLaughlin, two sons, Rev. Thomas H. Teczar of West Hyannis Port adn Edward P. Tezar of Arlington, Texas; and a daughter, Patricia L. Ernitz of Auburn (MA). She lived in Auburn for 19 years, moved ot Worcester in 1967, and to Palm Beach, Florida in 1974.

General Notes (Husband)

Master Tailor

In the Dictionairre Genealogique, the entire line is Taillon.

From http://members.tripod.com/~Carol_Tyo_LaDue/index.htm

The surname Tyo was changed from the french spelling, Taillon, sometime after 1671. Both are pronounced "Tie-o". Taillon was not the original name either. It was Michel! I have also come across Taillon pronounced "Tal-yon" and "Tal lon" There may be other pronunciations.
All of their children were born in France.

On August 10, 1647, Giles Michel, made a will leaving everything to Barbe. He also requested that the first name of his only surviving son, Etienne, be changed to his deceased twins name, Olivier. Giles died shortly after.

There are three published books on the family:

¥ TYO FAMILY; Road from France to Canada to Ohio by Nancy Glosser © 2000 ¥ Giles Michel Descendant Report: A work in progress: The Taillon/Tyo Family by Patricia A Tyo-Foreman ¥ The Taillion (Tyo) families by Duncan (Darby) MacDonald, U.E. ©

General Notes (Wife)

I have her born in Poitiers, Poutou,

and French-Canadian geographical web site says

ÉMARD, Barbe (Jean & Marie BINEAU [45]) <http://www.francogene.com/quebec-genealogy/000/045.php>, born Niort ? (Deux-Sèvres : 790191), France, died before inventory 1687-04-28 Audouart Beaupré (Qc)
Origin : some searchers think it is Jeanne, baptized 1625-08-03. Godbout, who made the search, didn't even suggest such an hypothesis. Barbe can be born before her family arrived in Niort. (Origine : certains chercheurs pensent qu'il s'agit de Jeanne, b 1625-08-03. Godbout, qui a fait la recherche, ne suggère même pas une telle hypothèse. Barbe a pu naître avant que la famille arrive à Niort.)

General Notes for Child Olivier MICHEL DIT TAILLON (LATAILLE-TAILLON)

He was originally christened Etienne then was given his dead brother's name.

He was confirmed at Chateau-Richer under the name of Olivier Tardiff.

All of his parents were dead by 1662, when his uncle, Zacharie Clutier was given guardianship, followed by his half-sister, Barbe-Delphine and her husband Jacques Cahcon, who married on 23 Nov 1661 at Chateau-Richer. (Must have married awfully young.)

He changed his surname to Taillon sometime after he married.

Olivier Michel appears in records with two different : Letardif and Taillon. Letardif appears only on the baptism records of two of Olivier's children in the 1670s. That name came from his stepfather Olivier Letardif. The dit name of Taillon first appears on the 1698 baptism of his daughter Therese Dorothee at Notre-Dame-de-Quebec in the city of Quebec. When his son Francois was admitted to the Hotel-Dieu hospital in 1700, his surname was given as Taillon. Most of the sons of Olivier Michel and Marie Magdelaine Cochon used the names Michel and Taillon interchangeably throughout their lives. Eventually, the name Taillon became standard for their descendants by the mid-1700s. One branch, that of his great-grandson Louis Charles Taillon , adopted the dit name of Lataille in the late 1700s. (This is the branch from which I am descended. Much of my research has been focused on the Lataille descendants.) When the Taillon descendants came to the United States in the latter half of the 1800s, some of them anglicized the spelling of the name to Dio (phonetically similar to the French pronounciation of Taillon).
Olivier Michel dit Taillon dit Letardif and Marie Magdelaine Cochon had 15 children. The children's baptisms were recorded in several parishes on both sides of the St-Lawrence River in the Beaupre Coast area. By 1690, it appears they settled in or near Quebec City.

General Notes (Husband)

They sailed for New France with two year old Olivier.

After the death of Olivier LeTardiff, his land was divided among his children Charles, Guillaume, and Barbe-Delphine, doesn't say by waht wife, and his stepson Olivier.

Olivier Letardif (was a notable in the early years of Quebec, having been there as early as 1621, serving as an interpreter and chief clerk of the fur trading monopoly Compagnie des Cent Associes). Letardif owned part of the seigneurie (manor) of Beaupre just downriver of the city of Quebec, in what later became Montmorency County.

Olivier Letardif brought some children from his first marriage (to Louise Couillard, who died in 1641). Olivier Letardif and Barbe served as witnesses to a birth in Quebec City on 7 June 1649, as residents of Cap-de-Tourmente (on the Beaupre coast). They had several more children of their own. For several years, Letardif was Provost-Judge of Beaupre. Barbe died around January 1659. (An inventory of her estate was recorded at Beaupre by the notary Guillaume Audouart on 28 January 1659.) Olivier Letardif died and was buried at nearby Chateau-Richer on 28 January 1665. For more on him, see http://www.upperstjohn.com/nellie/d706.htm#P1692 <http://www.upperstjohn.com/nellie/d706.htm>.
