To son William, house, smith-shop, &c., now occupied by him, and 14 acres of land. To son John £125 and £25 rent which I paid John McIntire, &c. To son George £100. To son Joshua £100 and a horse, at discretion of executors as his necessities require. To grandson Jas. Miller, son of Joshua, £25 when 21. To son James £185 and a mare. To son Solomon the land he now lives on, 13 acres, 75 perches and £5. To son Isaac £200. To son Reuben £200. Remainder of lands to be sold and remainder of estate divided between wife and 7 sons above named. Executors: Jeremiah Underwood and Thomas Agnew. Wits.: Jacob Lindley, Henry Paxson, Joseph Sharp. *****************************************What is interesting here (at least to me) is that it appears James Miller knew his executor Jeremiah Underwood. Jeremiah's great-great grandaughter Carrie would marry James's great-great grandson Edwin Pyle.
General Notes (Wife)
My father's notes show her died in 1873, when she woudl most likely have been 130 years old, in New Garden, Maryland. New GArden was in Pennsylvania. s
