General Notes (Husband)

He lived in Lancaster County for some time, where he married Sarah Worsely; then he settled on large plantation in Mill Creek Delaware, attended New Garden meeting, intermarried with Chambers and Miller families.

James Thompson was of a family that migrated from Kirkfenton or Church Fenton, 5 mi. south of York, in Yorkshire in mid 17th centry, to Ireland, and from there to Elsinboro, West New Jersey; they were a family of fairly substantial means, and founded the Quaker meeting in Elsinboro.
