John married Eme Gooch, widow of Robert Gooch. In his will dated 10 Sep 1596 and probated 16 Nov 1596, John named many relatives. O fhis brother Robert he named several children. Of "Thomas Aldowes my brother," he named sons Francis and John, also daughters Anne Aldows and Elizabeth Keble. Of said nephew Francis he named Francis's wife Sarah, and their son Francis; to neophew Francis he gave Chepenhall meadow (in Fressingfield) and a tenement in Harleston, Norfolk. John named his wife's first husband, Robert Gooch "deceassed," and the Gooch children, Sarah wife of newphew Francis Aldowes, Elizabethe Gooche, Finett Smythe (husband John Smythe and their children), Afra Gooch, Nicholas Gooche, Thomas Gooche, and James Gooche.
