General Notes (Husband)

Van Kempen found records for four children of Humfrey, no wife specified, who she thinks are children of Humfrey the younger.

She believes that Humfrey the younger was married to Alice, and noone else. This matters, since Edward's baptismal record specifies that his mother was Ann. Also, Edward was born in 1588, and Humfrey the Younger did not marry Alice Hardwick until 1594. Van Kempen doesn't think he could be as old as he'd have to be to have been the husband of Anne.

Sam Behling, apparently following Gillian Dollittle, has Humphrey Doolittle the Younger instead of Humphrey Doolittle the Elder in Kidderminster, married to Anne. Since we know that Edward's mother was Anne, this is consistent with her theory that Edward was the son of Humphrey the Younger.

Sam Behling has, probably following Gillian Dollittle, that they may have had a fifth child baptized in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, Oct 1606.
