General Notes (Husband)
Got Blissmore Hall.
Peter Noyes(not sure if Peter William's uncle, or Peter who was John's son and William's nephew and married Mary Godwin) or P conveyed his remainder in the lease of Blissmore Hall with other lands to John and Thomas Godwyn according to a deed made at Winchester prior to Peter's marriage with Mary, John's daughter, and attested by Thomas Symmes of Farley, Hants., a witness to the deed. John Godwyn, in turn, had promised to give Peter £30 and also to leave further legacies to Peter by his last will and testament (PRO C24/275/71). By further deposition (PRO C24/275/75), it was understood that if William (the brother of John, Peter's father) should remarry and have "a man child by an honest woman," the agreement with Peter should be void and Blissmore Hall would revert to William. Ramridge Court Rolls state that Peter Noyse, son of John Noyse of Nutbeam, appeared in court 2 June 1590 and "took the reversion of a messuage and vigate of land in Nutbeam now in the tenure of the said John, to hold for life after the deaths of the said John his father and William Noyse his brother."
Christening - 21 FEB 1565/66;
Peter's uncle William had just two daughters, and his wife triedto kill him, moved in with the village minister for two years, then carried on with the sister of an inlaw for years.
