Date his will was proved. His wife is spelled a variety of ways. Algor on marriage record. His will names his wife but not his children, possibly because they were under age.

His wife's name was Joane according to his will, but the mother of Lettice is listed as Lettice Peacock. There is a record of the latter marriage.

Francis Alger's surname was incorrectly reported as Alcock in Boyd's Marriage index.

Benet and Lettice's son Francis, bapt at Nazeing 10 Apr 1615, was evidently named for his maternal grandfather.

Will of Farncis Alger written 24 May 1582, mentioned wife Lettice and unnamed children under age. Francis made cousin Nichols Alger and unnamed father in law overseers. Will proved 5 Jul 1582 by the widow Lettece Algor.

Lettice remarried at Nazeing 3 Sep 1582, John Miller. No further record of John and Lettice has been found. Lettice Miller married William Fenetcoote on 13 Apr 1618 at St. Leonard in Colchsetr, Essex.
