He left a will in 21 Jan 1722/23. He bequeathed to his son Benjamin, two hundred pounds "in silver money and good bill of credit."

He indentured his son Benjamin to Dr. Samuel Wallis of Ipswich, MA, to learn the physician's art. Benjamin died with a huge library; theology, sciences, astronomy, medical, literature.
