General Notes (Husband)

4 Oct 1727 John Hulett of Rehoboth enters his horse óf Lite Grey Culor with Spekled leggs of aboute five years old Branded on the Left Shoulder with a figure 9" p 192 of Early Rehoboth Families and Events.

John III could be John II - John II appears to have died in Rehoboth in 1708, and John III had a son born in Newton in 1710 (wife Patience); however, no proof that the John who died in Rehoboth in 1708 was not John Hulit of Concord, as the Jonathan believed to be his son was attached to that place later. There is however no proof that John of Newton is not John of Concord. The only logical contradiction to that idea is the notion that Hannah Whitaker later turned up in Enfield married to William Hulbert, and I've still not found the source of that notion. With this Whitaker family one must consider the possibility that Hannah did remarry but she was not a widow, nor had there been a divorce. (That was the common solution before the present.) That family did whatever they wanted, it often wasn't legal, sometimes it was very violent, and they tended to run away from problems. Certainly John of Concord's son Jonathan and John III's son both turned up in Rehoboth, though they seemto have had separate lives and families. John and Jonathan do appear to be distinct people.

It is not known that John III married Patience in 1710, only that they had a son born in 1710.
