In 1528 there was a mortgage between John Hobard adn William Aldous, son Thomas, and otehrs, regarding four pieces of William's real estate, including one called Ferfield, one in Chepenhall hamlet, one in Wittingham hamlet, and one in Chpenhall called Impehedgelond.

William's will saw primarily to Johan's well-being. His will gave his lands and meadows in Wittingham hamlet to son thomas. to son Richard he gave a pihtle in Chepenhall hamlet called Godbaldys. He must ahve already given son Robert his portion.

Records show that sons Robert and Thoams were brothers, but sons of William of Fressingfield, not sons of Robert of Stradbroke.
