General Notes (Husband)
Weaver. He died three months after his brother's wife. Made his brothers Anthony and Henry and brother in law George Arden the overseers of his will. He left his eldest son John ten pounds and his Bible Book, five pounds each to younger son George and daughter Jane to be given at age 16. He left his house to wife Cecily.
I have the children from the will.
John's will said he hoped his wife would remain unmarried, as well as that she would heed good counsel from his overseers. Two years alter she remarried James Tarboy who moved into her house.
John's inventory described a Hall, a kitchen with brass adn pewter of all sorts, a buttery with wooden ware, a chamber over the Hall with a large bed and small truckle bed, a chest, books, linens, wool and yarns, a chamber over the shop with a bed for apprentices and linen yarn, a shop with two narrow looms, and a cock-loft with old implements.
The end of Anthony's life is not known.
