General Notes (Husband)
He settled on the West side of the river, now West Srpingfield, in Checkerpee Street. All fo his sons and one of the two daughters lived ot teh age of atleast 70 years. All married ansd settled in what is now the first parish of West Springfield, excepting the one daughter who died young. They possessed some of the finest farms in the parish, which howerver are now occupied by other hands, their descendants being removed to other parts, so taht there are but two or three families of the anme in that parish, Sic tempora mutant Mr. Joseph Morgan my grandfather - who moved to teh north parish.
General Notes (Wife)
Steven Bird has extensively researched this family.
Hannah was almost certainly born in Farmington, Connecticut. Estimated dates of birth range from 1670 to 1673. Her mother was not Lydia Steele, because Lydia died 14 Jan 1659, accordingto Farmington town records. We don't know Rebecca's maiden name at all. On the Internet she is sometimes identified as Talcott, without any supporting evidence. Steven can find no evidence to support it despite extensive effort.
