General:

Humfry was named as executor of his father's will; had to have been 21 in 1577. Born by 1555.

He was a clothier of Kidderminster.

A clothier during this time meant a broker of yardage. He would buy the yarn, commission weavers to make cloth, have it finished by the walkers or fullers and then he would sell that cloth. This was a good career choice for a young man whose father and uncle were successful master weavers.

Note that, since Edward's birth record tells us for a fact that his mother was Anne, Gillian Dollittle's reconstruction has Anne and all four children attributed to her, belonging to Humfrey the Younger son of Humfrey of Aggborough.
