Knighted 26 Jun 1615. He married Katherine Sotherton, daughter of Nowell Sotherton. The will of Nowell Sotherton, Baron of the Exchquer, made 15 Sep 1608, proved 24 May 1610, named among others daughter Katherine, wife of Thomas Elliott, and grandon John Elliot. In Michaelmas Term 1600 "Thomas Elliott gent & Kath. his wife, tranferred messuage and lands in Cottered and Rushden to Leonard Humberton. Catherine Elliott Ladie and wife to Sir Thomas Eliott" was buried Stanford Rivers 3 Sept 1616.
