| Family Biography Florence was born the day after Christmas 1856 at her parents' farm on the Dry Fork of the Whitewater River. Nearby, also in Morgan township of Butler County, OH, Steven Douglas TEETOR was born in Okeana, OH on 24 June 1860 to Isaac TEETOR (TEETER in 1880 census, #109-111). Isaac was born about 1809 in NY. His father was born in Germany, and his mother was born in New Jersey. Isaac's wife is not listed in the 1880 census, but she was born in Ohio. The children still living with Isaac in 1880 were: Joseph, 23, b about 1856-7 in OH Florence BROWN was living with her older sister, Amanda, and younger brother, Charles, in the 1880 census for Morgan township of Butler County OH (#195-199, page 22-3-25). Their mother had died the year before.
Florence and Stephen Douglas TEETOR married sometime in the 1880s and had two children, Paul Raymond (1888-1973) and Carl TEETOR. They lived and farmed on the Dry Fork BROWN homestead farm until their deaths.
Stephen TEETOR died 5 March 1932 in Shandon, and was buried in the New London Cemetery, Shandon, OH (Butler Co). Florence TEETOR died 28 May 1933, and was buried at the New London Cemetery. |
