The earliest name I have is that of my gggrandfather, John Arthur Handley, Oct. 15, 1822-Sept. 14, 1888..wife: Lucretia Aug. 21, 1829-Feb. 8, 1910..I understand he lived in Lee County, Florida...Alva/Fort Myers...The only children I know are Rober Vinson..April 15, 1866-April 2, 1945, and Priscilla..March 25, 1873-Oct. 14, 1955. At some point in time John A., or just Robert V. moved to Fitzgerald, Georgia,(then Irwin Co., now Ben Hill Co.). I know Robert V. was the Irwin Couny Sheriff in the late 1800's and had 8 children.   19. I have no info earlier than Archibald Hanley, whom I found on the 1850 census for Saline Co., MO with a child named Louisa E. Since my g grandmother was Emily Louisa (Ludie/Lutie), I am hoping the enumerator just got her name backward and this is my g g grandfather. His wife was named Emily also....but I do not know parents of either. An Archibald Hanley was also found on the 1840 census in Callaway Co., MO. Could they be the same?
