While I am not a direct line with Handley, I am on the Henderson side. My known ancestor is Jeremiah HENDERSON who md Hannah HICKMAN 1799 Greene Co TN. (I'll try not to bore you with this long story). It appears that my ancestor, along with his brother Daniel Henderson, are involved in deeds in Greene Co TN with a Joseph Henderson and a John STIFFY. Stiffy md a Ruth Henderson and they were in Greenbrier Co (West) VA early, removing to Greene Co TN by 1793.

Ruth Henderson Stiffy leaves a will 1832 Grainger Co TN, naming her brothers and sisters: David, Joseph, Abraham, John, Robert, Henderson and sisters were named Mary CONLEY, Sally GREEN (md Henry Green of Greenbrier), Betsy MCDANIEL, and MARGARET HANLEY. I feel it is very possible the Margaret Henderson that married William HANDLEY 10 Mar 1788 in Greenbrier Co WV is the same Margaret of Ruth Henderson Stiffy's will. Other facts gathered also place Abraham Henderson in Greenbrier who md Ann BLANTON.

I also note you have an Archibald Handley md to Jean HENDERSON..Sure would like to know if you have connected her with parents also.
