PA Margaret Cover/Kober, daughter of Peter and Anna Margaretha (Stroeher/Strayer)
Kober; d. abt 1836:
"Christian Wogoman was born in Pennsylvania c1760 and
married Anna Margaretha Cover/Kober on April 29, 1792.
Margaret was the daughter of Peter and Margaretha (Stroeher/Strayer)
Kober and was born in 1771. Christian and Margaret
moved from Somerset County, PA to Perry Township,
Montgomery County, OH in 1805. When Christian and Margaret
came to Ohio in 1805, they settled in Jackson Township, now
Perry Township and a claim for their land was entered
in the U.S. Land Office at Cincinnati, Ohio in October, 1805.
The land was the southeast quarter of Section 25. This land is
now northwardly and eastwardly from the village of New
Lebanon. Christian and presumably Margaret died on their farm.
The date of death is unknown but Christian probably died c1836
while Margaret died after 1836."
Christian was the brother of William and John.
NOTE: there in unproven conjecture that Christian's father was
Christian Martin Wagaman, b. 1741 in Chester Co, PA.
They were the parents of Elizabeth, Catherine, John, Joel,
Margaret, Hannah, and Mary.
Joel (b. 19 May 1803, Somerset Co, PA; d. 18 Nov 1878 in
Montgomery Co, OH) m. 2 Feb 1826 Elizabeth Overholser (b. 7
Oct 1803 PA; d. 2 May 1889 Montgomery Co, OH). They had
13 children, including Mary.
Mary (b.1831; d, 1912) m. 23 Feb 1851 Montgomery Co, OH
Hezekiah Eubank, Jr. (1832-1914). They had 12 children,
including Catherine.
Catherine (18 Aug 1861; d. 11 Jul 1922) m. 30 Mar 1880
Huntington Co, IN Frederick Sheets (1852-1930). They had 4
children: Mary Ellen (my great-grandmother), William Chester,
Charles Oscar, and John Oake.
