Mrs. Rebecca B. Guest Died of Heart Attack

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Miller ward chapel for Mrs. Rebecca Butterworth Guest, wife of Edward F. Guest of 3517 south West Temple street. Mrs. Guest died at home Sunday morning shortly after a heart attack which seized her while she was attending Sunday school in Miller ward. She was taken to her home by her husband and her son in-law, Willard S. Cowley, and died there a few minutes later.

Mrs. Guest was born in Winwick Parish, Huntington county, England, Feb. 6, 1862, and came to America with her parents during her early childhood. She was married Dec. 13, 1881 in the Salt Lake Endowment House, became the mother of three sons and three daughters.

She has been an active member of the Church, serving as president of the Y.L.M.I.A. in East Mill Creek ward in 1880. She worked in the Relief society as an officer until the organization of the Miller ward, March 17, 1907, in which she became Relief society president.

Surviving are her husband, three sons, Edward M., Twin Falls, Ida.; William J. and John Earl, of Salt Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Dessie Peck and Mrs. Verna Cowley of Salt Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen M. Butterworth Sperry and Naomi Butterworth Woodruff, of Salt Lake, and 21 grandchildren.

Friends may call at the George A. Jenkins mortuary Wednesday evening and from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be conducted by Bishop E. J. Solomon.
