Rhoda Ann Guest was born 12 September 1868 in Millcreek. She married Charles H. Wheaton on 5 March 1889 in Salt Lake County at First Congregational Church. They had two children, Howard Charles, born 1 January 1890 in Salt Lake, and Lola A., born about 1902 in Iola, Allen Kansas, where the family had moved prior to 1900.
Sometime before 1910 she was divorced. She married Dr. Archibald James Fulton, a prominent physician and civic leader 28 April 1910. He had two living children at the time so for the first year of their marriage there were four children at home. Her son, Howard Charles, married Dana Opal Munden in 1911. Dr. Fulton's older son, also named Howard, also married and left the home. The two remaining children, Lola and Kenneth Fulton were both still at home when the 1920 census was taken.
Rhoda and A.J. Fulton had a daughter, Shirley. She is not listed on the 1920 census with Rhoda and A. J. Fulton. Curiously, Dr. Fulton's obituary (1930) does not list Shirley among his survivors, but it does name his two sons. Rhoda's and Charles' obituaries list Shirley as daughter and sister respectively.
Lola married a man by the name of Mathews and had a daughter, Beverly Lou. Shirely married James Novak and had at least one son, also James Novak.
Rhoda was active in civic circles in Iola. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, a matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Royal Neighbors and other women's organizations.
She died in Iola, Kansas, on 11 June 1949, just one month before her oldest brother, they being the last but one (Orson Joseph) of their siblings left. She is buried in Highland Cemetery in Iola.
