Anna AUGUSTINE

Anna , died in 1985, in Calgary, Canada. She survived WWI in Europe. She had two sons who served in the German army. One son was killed on the Russian Front. The other son was captured by British troops and brought to Calgary, Canada as a Prisoner of War. After the war he remained there and became a prosperous roofer there. When the Winter Olympics were held in Calgary in 1988, he was mentioned as one of the twelve former POWs who were still citizens of Calgary. Anna was reunited with her son in Calgary by the Red Cross. In 1964 she traveled to Cincinnati and was reunited with her sister Margaret. She lived in Florida for a time, but returned to Calgary where she died around 1985.
